How the process works

We keep the process simple and structured so you get clear expectations, accurate pricing, and secure handling of your information.

  1. Initial intake: Complete our short questionnaire to help us understand your filing situation and provide a conditional starting price.
  2. Detailed intake + documents: If you’re comfortable with the starting price and choose to proceed, we invite you to a secure portal for a detailed questionnaire and uploads so we can confirm the final price.
  3. Preparation + filing: We prepare your return, share it for review, collect e-signatures, and file after your approval.

Secure intake: Please do not email, text, or message SSNs or tax documents. We use a secure portal for uploads and e-signatures after you choose to proceed.

Do you handle individual tax returns?

Yes. We prepare federal and state individual returns nationwide. Each return is reviewed to confirm scope and pricing before preparation begins.

Do you handle small business returns?

We handle select small business and self-employed returns, depending on structure and complexity. We confirm fit during intake review.

Do you handle Schedule C / self-employed income?

Yes, many Schedule C returns can be handled. Acceptance depends on the type of business activity, documentation quality, and overall complexity.

Do you handle investments and active trading?

We often support clients with brokerage accounts and 1099-B reconciliation, including equity compensation (RSUs/ESPP/options), depending on transaction volume and records. Very high-volume trading is handled case-by-case.

Do you handle cryptocurrency?

Some digital-asset situations can be handled when records are complete and well-documented. We review your activity during intake to confirm scope and pricing.

Do you handle rental properties?

Some rental situations can be handled depending on the number of properties and related details. We confirm scope and pricing after review.

Do you handle multi-state returns?

Yes, we handle certain multi-state scenarios. We’ll confirm the required filings and complexity during intake review.

Do you handle amended returns?

Many amended returns can be handled. We’ll review the prior return and supporting documentation first to confirm scope and pricing.

Do you handle IRS or state notices?

Some notices can be reviewed depending on the type and timing. If you’re an active client, share the notice through our secure portal. If you’re not yet onboarded, contact us first and we’ll advise next steps.

How do you determine pricing?

Pricing is based on time and complexity — not refund size. We provide a starting price after initial intake, then confirm a final price after document review before we proceed.

Will I know the price before you file?

Yes. Any fee changes are discussed and approved before we proceed with preparation or filing. No surprises.

What if my return is outside your service scope?

We accept returns within our current service scope. If something is outside scope, we’ll let you know upfront so you can choose the best next step.

How do I upload documents?

If you choose to proceed after the initial estimate, we invite you to a secure client portal for document upload and e-signatures. Please avoid sending sensitive documents by email or text.

Do I need a portal account to get an estimate?

No. You can get a conditional starting price by completing the initial intake questionnaire — no portal account and no document upload required. If you choose to proceed, we’ll invite you to create a secure portal account for the full questionnaire, document upload, and e-signatures.

Do you work virtually?

Yes. We’re fully virtual and serve clients nationwide. Most clients never need an in-person meeting.

How long does preparation take?

Timing depends on complexity and how quickly documents are provided. After intake, we’ll share an expected timeline and next steps.

What do you need from me to start?

Start with the initial intake questionnaire. If you proceed, we’ll request prior-year returns (if available) and current-year documents through the secure portal.

Can we communicate by WhatsApp?

Yes for general coordination. For sensitive information (SSNs, tax forms, notices, bank details), we use the secure portal.
